About Emmy

Hiya! I’m Emmy. I live and work in Merseyside with my husband and our rescue dog.

I’ve been drawing and making things for as long as I can remember, and today my work sits somewhere between digital illustration and mixed media. I create illustrations that feel modern and bold, but also textured, warm, and human. My background in both art and nursing strongly influences my practice, and I’m especially interested in connection, communication, wellbeing, and the small everyday moments that bring people together.

My work is inspired by nature, food, and the rituals of daily life. I use a mix of gouache, ink, collage, and digital techniques to build layered, tactile illustrations with a sense of personality and care. I love imperfect marks, rich colour, and artwork that feels lived in rather than overly polished.

Community and social impact are a big part of what I do. In 2024, I founded Art Ease CIC, a grassroots, non-profit organisation focused on making art more accessible and supporting wellbeing through workshops and community projects.

I work with individuals, charities, local businesses, authors, and global brands on a wide range of illustration, branding, print, and social projects. I love collaborating with people who value creativity, kindness, and thoughtful storytelling. I’m always excited to take on new and interesting projects, so please do get in touch if you’d like to work together.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me walking the dog, cooking something comforting, swimming, going to gigs, knitting or sewing, hiking, reading, doing DIY projects, or dancing with friends.
